We were at Bogart's in Lexington KY both with mutual friends seeing one of our favorite local bands Radio 80 on December 8, 2012. I had a college friend in town and paid Jason no attention at all. The next weekend December 15, 2012 we went to O'neils in Lexington again to see Radio 80, where we started talking and hit it off. He came to my house that night and we've been together ever since. |
Our first vacation...Destin, Florida...August 15-22, 2015. On Sunday August 16, 2015 we spent the day at the beach and the pool with our friends. We were going to dinner that night at O'Quigleys, around 5 pm Jason and I decided to go upstairs to shower and get ready for dinner. Our friends were staying behind to "walk on the beach". Little did I know that was a lie. I went to shower still unknowing anything more than we were going to dinner. I got out of the shower went to hang my beach towel on the balcony and Jason started yelling for me to get inside, what was I doing? I came back inside and he was like come here, I told him wait and let me get dressed. After I threw a tshirt and shorts I walked over to the window where I looked out to my own real life movie on the beach spelled out in the sand: "Shauna will you marry me?" I turned around and said Oh my god where the most gorgeous ring was in my face. I was floored!!! I don't know if I ever said yes or not. The next day I spelled yes out in the sand while he was in the shower. |
