I was totally and completly against marriage AT ALL.  In fact, when we met I specifically told him "I do not want to get married".  "EVER".  Each time he brought up marriage I had every excuse to why it was a terrible idea.  I guess after our two year mark he would talk about it and it just wouldn't sting as much as it used to. I didn't want to get married but I wasn't so absolute anymore.  We would talk about what marriage would be like for us, I'd completly freak out and refuse to talk about it again.  That went on for a long time.  

A very long time... 

Things change, we change every single day.  I've changed since Ryan became a part of my life.  Ryan has allowed me to spread my wings.  He has never stood in my way nor wanted to change this fierce independence I've always had.  He accepts me for who and what I am.  

I had to change my way of thinking and stop being so damn afraid.  

I used to think people were completly full of CRAP-O-LA when they said they were marrying their best friend.  Little did I know...

Ryan and Phil were acting super sketchy ALL DAY.  I kept asking Lora "what is there deal today".  I knew something was up.  I KNEW IT.  

On May 28, 2016 while eating dinner with Phill & Lora Hill and Kevin & Brittany Banta atop Tsunami, Ryan says these exact words "so I have a question for ya"...

Bridget has a 6th sense I swear.  She reads people and figures everything out.  I have never been able to surprise her (even with gifts).  I wanted our families present but I also know Bridget and she would have seen a proposal coming from a mile away!  I had to attempt to make this proposal as easy going as possible.  

Phil and Lora planned on visiting us and I thought this would be the perfect time.  She would never figure this out. 

I decided Tsunami. Great food, great drinks and beautiful roof top view.  

Lora kept the ring in her purse the entire day and was completly loosing her mind (she doesn't like keeping secrets).  She was with Bridget ALL day and Phil and I spent most of the day at the Range Rover dealership.  I was calm until the acutal moment came.  I thought "I'm going to kill her if she says no".  

After dinner, we went to the rooftop and she just kept looking at the view.  I wanted her to turn so she would be in a good position, but she was stuck on the scenery on top of a roof looking over the Mississippi River.  Brittany and Kevin kept their cool, making up reservations they didn't even have.  haha GO FIGURE that Bridget has never eaten at TJ Ribs!!!!!!!

Finally the time came and I asked.  It took her what felt like 10 minutes, which felt like forever, but she said YES and made me a happy man.
