It all began with a craigslist ad placed by Wes's band for a lead vocalist. Lisa answered it, auditioned, and joined the band. All of the band members became like brothers and sisters, and developed a very strong bond. But Wes and Lisa were always special. Their relationship blossomed into a faith based, supportive true friendship that helped them get through some very difficult times.

Our relationship has grown stronger and tighter every day, and continues to even today.

On Mothers's Day, 2013, Wes could wait no longer. He sat in the living room with Lisa, and her two daughters, and celebrated the holiday. And then.....

He turned to the girls and said, "Girls, you know how much I love your Mom. And how much I have grown to care about you. So, I want to ask your permission to marry your Mom." (girls...) YES!!!!

Then, he turned to Lisa, got down on one knee, pulled out a ring box (he went to Jared) and said, Lisa, will you be my wife?"

(Lisa)  Yes!!! Absolutely!!

Tears, jumping up and down, screaming from all....

Suprise!!! We couldn't wait!! Because of our strong faith in God, and our sheer impatience...we were married on Feb 1, 2014 on the Bridge inside Bass Pro Shops at Great Lakes Crossing Mall in Auburn Hills, MI.

It was the best suprise Lisa could give to Wes, who had jokingly asked on one of their first dates if they could get married at Bass Pro??!!

So, Lisa begged the promotions dept and suprised Wes with this justice of the peace style wedding on the bridge. (He thought we were going to the courthouse coffee shop where the court official was originally going to marry us)

In attendance were only 4 people we knew. Our two Moms, and our maid of honor and best man Jodi and Paul.

Our children, friends, and family were not there. Not because we intended to exclude anyone, not at all. It was purely something private for Wes and I, between our God, and us. We did not want to spoil the feel of the wedding in June, where we were to have all of our family and friends in attendance and all of our children standing up with us.

It was not our intention to offend anyone, nor to hurt anyone's feelings. And we know that those who truly love us and care about our happiness will wish us well and share in our joy.

We are to be formally married on June 21st, 2014 (Midsummer's Day) at King's Court Castle Chapel. With a renaissance themed reception immediately following in King's Court Castle Hall.

We are so honored and excited to have the honor of your presence on our special day.

We are going to Excellence Resort Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic!!!! Wohoo!!

We have registered at Kohls. And for those who would like to give something a little out of the box for the couple, we are registered at Excellence resort on the honeymoon registry. This would allow guests to give fun things to do for the couple on their honeymoon like candlelight dinners on the beach, resort credits for excursions, spa days, massages, etc.
