On April 25, 2014 Alex thought that her and Mike were just taking one of their usual trips up to her favorite lighthouse. After enjoying the beautiful weather and lunch on the rocks, Alex was taking pictures of her and Mike. Mike siezed this moment to hold the ring box up in the background of one of her photos, leaving them with not only a life-changing experience, but a memorable photo that they will have as a keepsake. (obviously she said yes!)

Of course, nothing can ever be simple (Lol...Alex is the only one laughing here). After purchasing the ring a couple weeks prior to this big day, the jewler accidentally had the statement sent to their apartment (now you see why Mike isn't laughing). After Alex sent a picture of the envelope to her mother and best friend, they immediately called Mike at work to let him know. Mike then, in an attempt to cover up what was supposed to be a suprise, went back to the jewler to buy a necklace for Alex which he then said was what the statement was for (so actually, the jewler is probably in on the laughter as well).
