Curt and I had talked about getting engaged and marriage a lot in the coming months of our one year anniversary so I knew that it was probably coming soon. I did not know when it would happen, but I had a pretty good idea. When we arrived in Jamaica the week started out great we had a blast with my our family enjoying Curt's first trip out of the United States. On June 26th, we did dinner with the family at a restaurant under the stars. Curt was smiley all night long and nervous. He asked me to wear a specific dress (because it was his favorite on me) and we headed off to dinner. At dinner in front of all of my immediate family he got down in front of the entire restaurant and asked me to marry him! And of course, I SAID YES! 

Courtney and I were perfect for each other....she truly completes me.  She has qualities that I lack, and I have qualities she lacks.  When you love someone as much as I love her, and when someone makes you want to be a better man each and every day,  you know that she is the one.  I bought her engagement ring a couple months before the Jamaica trip (I picked it out all by myself!), and I wanted to make the day I proposed a special one...so the weeks prior to the trip, I ran numerous ideas through my head.....I really wanted her immediate family to be there when I proposed, because they are such a crucial part of her life....so i decided that I would propose to her at dinner on the 26th of June, at sunset.  I got down on one knee and asked Courtney to be my Wife, and she said yes!!!!!!  It was one of the happiest moments of my life :)
