We had talked about "when we're married" but we had never talked about actually getting married. So it was a complete surprise when he DID propose. We were hiking in San Antonio at our regular spot. We stopped for a picnic near this giant rock that had a beautiful view of the river. As he unloaded the picnic goodies from his backpack, he bent down and pulled out the ring and asked me to marry him!
