| Ok familly and friends. Only 15 more days until our big day! We're excited and anxious for our weddingmoon to begin. I'm already packed. My dress is ready to go. Chuck no doubt will wait to pack until the night before, as usual! Everything is set with our wedding planner. We'll have a final meeting with her the morning after our arrival. We're both counting the days down. We can't thank those of you that have loved and supported us enough!
It's now less than 60 days until our big day and we are so excited. We're also looking forward to having a relaxing, pampering vacation. We really need one. Life has been crazy busy and we can't wait to disconnect from everything and "just be". No doubt Excellence Playa Mujeres will pamper us. I've got my dress and shoes. I'll be going for my fitting soon. Chuck got his suit and is going to look incredibly handsome, if I dare say so myself. We'll be making our final decisions on most of the wedding stuff soon: Flowers, decor, cake, music., etc. Stay tuned! As we approach the 120 day mark, our excitment is rising. I've selected and ordered my wedding dress. The photographer has been booked. Flowers and other decor have been selected. Other than dealing with the required documentation, we don't have too much we have to do right now. An impromptu trip to Wrightsville beach recently provided a much needed mini break and reset. Crazy to think that the next time we're going to be at the beach we will be in Mexico to get married! We're enjoying looking at resort pictures and menus and looking forward to total relaxation and being pampered. I am looking forward to not having to cook or clean for a week:) Check back often for updates. We love you all! Hello friends and family! So we are now 184 days away from our big day! The excitment is building for us. There have been some emails back and forth with our wedding coordinator and others in Mexico. We have also contributed to Fed Ex's bottom line with all the paperwork that has gone back and forth to the state department in order to legally comply with Mexico's requirements. Now, we're starting to plan and make the few decisions we have to make regarding or ceremony; Mainly decisions regarding flowers, decor and photography. We've still got a little planning to do but this destination wedding is just so incredibly easy! I've looked at a few wedding dresses and I believe that process is going to be the most difficult. A big thank you, in advance, to my best friend Treva for the patience that this will require. She has been so encouraging as well! Apparantely my much loved weight lifting habit and natural body shape has rendered me someone that is difficult to fit a wedding gown on properly. I wouldn't change that for "skinny" any day but do wish it were as simple as all the rest of the preperations have been thus far. More updates to come soon. We hope everyone is well and starting to get excited with us! Love, Jennifer and Chuck The process to get legally married in Mexico is a little time consuming. We have to get certified copies of our birth certificates and divorce judjements and then have to have those authenticated by the State Dept. Once they've been apostilled they then have to be translated to spanish. Whe have to arrive and be in the country for at least three buisness days before the ceremony. So we'll be arriving on a Sunday afternoon. Then we will have to submit ourselves for blood tests. That's why we have to wait until Thursday the twenty-ninth to get married. None the less, I'm sure we'll enjoy ourselves during the days leading up to our nuptials. I'll be dress shopping in a few weeks..which, I must admit, I hate shoppping. Some of the other decisions will be made later.
Check back for more, Love, Jennifer and Chuck |
