We woke up on our 1 yr anniversary and were having a relaxed conversation about all the fun things we had experienced in our first year together.  So many great trips; Miami, SF, Telluride, Memphis.  We had sold both of our homes and bought a house together.  So much in so little time!  Then we started talking about what we wanted to do in our second year together, the trips we want to take, the renovations we want to make on our house... and Beau got kind of quiet.  He looked at me and said, "There's one thing I don't want to happen in this next year ... "  I was like wait ... what?  And he said "I don't want to have to keep calling you my girlfriend ... Will you marry me?" He reached over to his night stand and pulled out a little black box and said "We need to make it official." I was so excited to say YES! And then the ring ... Spinelli Kilcollin, one of my obsessions- it is so unique, so me and so so us.  The beauty of this day is that it was a Sunday, my Mom's Bday, and also the day the Broncos would go on to win the AFC championship to go to the Superbowl. We had our family already on the way over to watch the game and we were able to turn it into an impromptu engagement party! One of the happiest days of my life!
