On an ordinary, uneventful day in April of 2018, the happy couple headed up north to visit and spend time with friends.

Lauren's goal was simple; to eat, drink, and relax with good company. Matt's goal was a little more intense...he was hoping to end the night with a successful proposal and gain a fiancee!

After a couple hours of socializing, Matt knew it was the right moment. He asked Lauren to stand up, while he simultaneously dropped down to one knee! Sweet words were exchanged on his end while the only reaction Lauren could muster was a mixture of ugly crying and laughter.

And then, obviously, she said yes!
